GermTec nominated for the Hessian Export Award 2015
For the third time on July 6, the Hessian Export Award will be presented in Frankfurt/Main. One of the nominated companies in the category “International Services and Consultancy” is the Herborn-based company GermTec GmbH & Co. KG. Many of you will probably know the manufacturer of LED technology in connection with the Cave Lighting™ project. Cave Lighting™ is a team of speleologists, specializing in the optimal illumination of show caves. The team travels worldwide to spotlight new show caves or to replace the existing illumination with modern LED technology. Due to long-standing know-how, the company occupies a niche, both on the national and international level.
The nomination itself is a great success
The prizes will be awarded for outstanding international business successes in three categories. There was originally a selection of 54 companies, ten of which made it onto the shortlist. For Alexander Chrapko, it is a big success to have made it this far: “It is great that we are still in the running. We are curious to see how the jury will decide.”
International business is essential for Hessian industrial firms: despite international crises, the export share has continued to increase in recent years. At GermTec, exports currently account for approximately 30 - 50 percent of their sales. The Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr Tarek Al-Wazir, acts as the patron of the Hessian Export Award and will award the prizes.
